Chris Penyak joined Stasis full-time in January, 2010. Prior to this he had played bass in now-defunct Lehigh Valley local band Solace since it’s inception in late 2003 when the band was known as Heart of Walls. He is self taught and has been playing since 1999. Before 2003 Chris played in a high school cover band called Paradox, where he played bass and sang lead vocals. Chris also currently plays bass in a Christian hard rock band based out of Quakertown, PA known as “Once Called Saul”.

In addition to playing bass, Chris has played trumpet in school ensembles all through junior and senior high school, and sang in high school and college. Chris participated in vocal instruction throughout college and sang in the A Capella and Pop/Jazz ensembles, singing both tenor and bass.

Chris has sung in church for most of his life, and can be found singing with the Quakertown First United Church of Christ Choir during most major holiday seasons. He also lends backing vocals to Stasis.

Other bass guitar credits include North Pocono Jazz band, Quakertown First UCC Choir, Quakertown Community Band, as well as various fill-in jobs when available.
